Ever wondered how to make paper flowers? Does flower making seem daunting? Hey relax! Making paper flowers is very easy. Let us show you how.
Paper Flower Making – Birthday Flowers
Here are the materials you would need to make paper flowers:
- Card stock in 2 colors – pink and green
- Aluminum foil
- Cello tape
For the petals, cut square pieces of the paper and cut out an oval petal shape as shown in the picture above.
Here is your basic shape using which we can start making our paper flowers.
Ready to make paper flowers? Each of the basic paper petal shapes that we cut earlier makes one flower each. Overlap both the curved sides over each other. Use your index finger to guide the cone formation. This trick will help you make the paper flowers easily and quick!
Next, roll up a medium sized strip of aluminum foil and cut one end into thin strips. These would make the stamen of our paper flower.
Next, add the foil into the flower. Pinch about 2cm from the bottom of the flower and make a dent. This dent will help the flowers to ‘stand up’.
Staple the dent in place.
Make as many paper flowers as you need.
To make the leaves, cut out leaf shapes from the green stock paper. These need not be perfect, just cut them as you go!
Arrange the flowers and the leaves on the gift wrapper. Use glue to hold the flowers in place. Have fun!
